The exhibition “PAISAJES” marked the inaugural event at Galería deCERCA. Roberto Carter’s work possesses a unique power, immersing us in a cosmos of ethereal apparitions where the canvas and the ‘captured image’ become the habitat for entities that seem to guide us toward secret initiation thresholds and ancient magical rituals. Roberto is a Paleolithic artist who has journeyed to the present, portraying the world through the primitive eye of myth, animism, and mystery. Entering Territorio Carter is stepping into the realm of the strange and the fascinating. Carter wields a palette that transports us to a potent space—a purely extraterrestrial field, reminiscent of childhood memories. Shades ranging from pastels to earth tones exude warmth in the tranquil life of his landscapes, where getting lost is only rescued by the breaths of a blue moon and clouds drowned in water. In this exhibition the inhabitant, the specter, disappears, leaving us alone with the habitat, immersed and in total direct correspondence with this parallel multiverse.
